Dear fellow students and friends,
Dancepooh new classes and classes in collaboration with other community services organizations will start gradually in the week of September 8 (Monday). In order to assist you with your class selection, we have allocated some dates for open house at selected venues. Please click here for details. As usual, this year we have a total of 56 classes for you to choose from. Pick you time, venue and level from our schedule! Newcomers and current students are welcome to join us for quality, easy-to-learn line dance lessons delivered by our well-established and organized line dancing team.
Besides learning new dances in our classes, for those who need to review dances after lessons have special choices to meet their needs. We have workshops organized at noon (Line Dancing at Noon at Starwalk Buffet co-organized by Carefirst) to accommodate dancers only available during the daytime. Besides regular CICS Saturday Night Line Dance Fun parties, our team instructors will also organize individual review parties for small groups on weekend nights. The purpose of these parties is to allow students to have a chance to review dances after lessons and before CICS parties or special charity events.
You are welcome to join us at any of the individual dance review parties hosted by any Pooh’s Team instructors in your free time. Should you have any questions or if you would like to be informed of the next party dates or dances lists, please contact our instructors directly. We have organized line dance parties of different types year-round to serve your needs. Several major theme parties have been held for charity fundraising for Mon Sheong, Carefirst & CICS. Your participation in these parties have been important to our success, so please come join us to make some friends and exchange ideas.
People are still talking about our spectacular record-breaking marathon line dance party held on June 1. There were 900 participants at this 9-hour Line Dance Marathon. We have raised a total of $18,000 for Mon Sheong Foundation and have also collected
$10,000 on-site in donations to the Sichuan Earthquake Relief Fund via Canadian Red Cross. I apologize to all dancers and friends who were not able to purchase tickets to this Marathon party as all tickets had sold out within 3 weeks. I would like to extend my gratitude for all your kind compliments and congratulations either by phone or email to acknowledge our success in this fundraising event.
This hot summer will end very soon. All of our 37 summer classes will end on August 29. Limited tickets for the August 30 CICS Saturday Night Line Dance Fun party remain on sale; please act quickly to secure your spot to have fun.
